A historical passing of the Frangocastello fortress is on our way to the beautiful village and beach of Plakias. You can relax at Plakias beach and have lunch. The last stop on this tour is to 10th-century Monastery of Preveli.
Sfakia, also known as “Chora Sfakion”, is a small village located on the south coast of Chania. A perfect place for nature lovers, looking for vacations away from mass tourism. The wild beauty of the mountainous landscape combined with the sparkling blue of the Libyan Sea is a unique combination that is hard to find.
On the way to Sfakia, you can stop at the entrance of the” Imbros” gorge and try out one of the restaurants, the local “Sfakia pie” with honey or mizithra (goat cheese) enjoying the view.
Explore the incredible fortress of Frangokastello (built 1374), where historical events took place both during the period of Venetian rule and during the next period of Ottoman rule. The castle is surrounded by a picturesque landscape – a beautiful beach on one side and steep mountains on the other. Here as nowhere else, it will be given to you a unique opportunity to swim and admire the view of the medieval fortress right from the sea.
Optionally, you can visit the fortress and climb one of the surviving towers with a magnificent view of the sea. Entrance fee 2-3 €.

The first core of Preveli Monastery was organized during the 10th century during the second Byzantine period of Crete. One can visit the total complex of the Monastery and the museum in it.

If all members of the group, agree changes in the itinerary may be done according to their wishes within the mileage and time limits of the excursion.
You can try Bungee jumping from the bridge in the canyon of Sfakia in the village of Aradena. This incredible experience is available only on weekends from 12:00 am till 17:00 in July and August, in June and September – only by prior reservation.
