The Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) Monastery is probably the most impressive monastic complex of the final period of Venetian rule on Crete, due to both its scale and architectural form. The monastery Agia Triada lies surrounded by large fields planted with olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees in the northeast area of the Akrotiri peninsula.

In the basement of the Monastery, you can visit the wine cellar with the barrels of wine-producing the monastery, as well as the exhibition area of folk tradition. Still, you can try wine and oil derivatives and buy all the products of the Cretan land.

Monastery Gouverneto or Lady of Angels one of Crete’s oldest monasteries is located in Akrotiri peninsula, 19 km north of Chania and 4 km from the monastery of Monastery Katholiko the mystical place for Ascetics.

The “ Catholicon” of the monastery with Renaissance characteristics is carved into the rock next to the cave, where according to the legend, an ascetic named Ioannis the Hermit lived at the beginning of the 16th century.

Seitan Limania (Stefanou) beach emerald waters on cape Akrotiri. For several years, a bay appeared in all social media and in the press, whose possible use for bathing fun was until then completely unknown. Situated only 24 km away from Chania in the northeast area of the Akrotiri Peninsula, the bay is quite hidden between high cliffs and offers fine sandy beaches mixed with pebbles. The name Seitan Limania originally refers to 3 adjacent bays, but only the most northerly is accessible and suitable for swimming.
